Divergent thinking is more about asking “what if” than “what can I do about it.” It also requires one to adopt a “yes and” approach to thinking by discarding why something might not work based on current information. When one assumes that mindset it requires a level of personal responsibility.

This leads me to a suggestion there might be an 8th sin that inhibits creativity. We often fear success almost as much as we fear failure.
